Superfood Salad

Superfood SaladI’ve always been rather indifferent to eating salads, since I’ve never really understood them as a meal.  When I want vegetables, I prefer them cooked in butter or animal fat (#southern).  But what I’ve started to realize is that I can really make a salad anything I want it to be.  I decided to put together a “superfood” salad that combined some of the best ingredients for those of us who aren’t usually diet prone.  This included strawberries (major source for antioxidants), avocados (natural appetite suppressant), almonds (fiber & protein), and spinach (Iron and Vitamins C & K), not to mention a dressing that coincides perfectly with the salad’s theme.
