I hope you’re ready for a double whammy of southern goodness here. When you think of southern beverages, two things that should immediately pop into your head are sweet tea and bourbon (no judgement on the order in which those pop). So when I saw this recipe that combined both of these Southern staples, you know I had to try some post-haste. Now usually mint juleps are imbibed in in the warmer months, but sweet tea is year-round…so feel free to pour one out any time of the year. Also, a bit of a tip. If you’re like me and you tend towards higher proof bourbon, only use 1 cup of bourbon instead of what the recipe calls for. I added lime wedges to the finished product and used mason jars to incorporate more southern charm in the presentation. Feel free to do with it as you will.
