I’ve always loved old movies.  Some of my favorite old Hollywood screen sirens loved themselves a wide leg trouser; think Katherine Hepburn, Barbara Stanwyck.  Wide trousers have been a bit on the fringes of fashion the last few seasons but this royal blue shade from JCrew made me want to jump in feet first.  For a long time blue was my favorite color until a took a sudden detour towards fuchsia several years ago.  These pants may be the beginning of a blue resurgence.  I’ve had fun pairing them with just about everything in my closet from stripes to leopard and back again.  For now I’m keeping it simple with this over-sized bow blouse.  Gives a slight 70s vibe I think.
