I realize that current weather conditions make it a little difficult to imagine that Spring is just around the corner (seriously, it’s like next week), but I for one am not going to let a little old Nor’easter dampen my mood.  With that in mind, don’t we all want that perfect sun-kissed glow?  I know I do, but I hate laying out in the sun (I just can’t sit still that long) in order to get it.  So this is a bit of a “Fake it ’til you make it” tutorial.  A dewy cheek, when paired with simple make-up (just lips and mascara) can help give you that effortless, fresh off the beach look, even when you’re living in non-coastal territory.  Here are my steps to getting that sunny cheek, complete with all the silly faces apropos to this sort of thing. 😉

What you’ll need: Stila All Over Shimmer Duo; Tarte Cheek Stain in “Flush”; NARS “Orgasm” Multiple Stick

Step 1: Using the darker shade of the Stila duo, and using an upward swipe motion, apply blush directly below your cheekbone.  This creates a bit of contouring in the hollow of your cheek.

Step 2: With the cheek stain, swirl color onto the apples of your cheeks; not too much though as you’re only wanting a hint of color.  Use your fingers to blend the color upwards toward your temple

Step 3: Take the NARS Multiple Stick and apply along the top of your cheek bone towards your temple.  You can also apply this stick along your hairline, jawline, and any other area of your face where sun would naturally hit.  This stick is very versatile and well worth the cost.

Step 4: Lastly, using the lighter shade of the duo, give a few finished swipes over your cheeks and voila!  Through on some shades and enjoy life.
