I’ve never been a huge make-up girl. Any sort of foundation always seemed too heavy and I always end up rubbing it off because I hate the way it feels on my skin. That being said, I do have one huge weakness: bright lipstick (maybe you’ve noticed one or two on this blog ;-)). The brighter, the better. Reds, Fuchsias, Neon Pinks, Berries, and even Orange-y Corals. But the one that holds a special place in my heart, the one that got it all started, my gateway drug if you will, is Lancome’s Rouge in Love “Midnight Rose 377N”. It’s a high-pigment, high-gloss, deep fuchsia that never fails to be a showstopper. When you’re rocking a bright lip, there’s really no need for other make-up, aside from a touch of mascara.
I know for lipstick newbies, the idea of a bright lip can be a bit intimidating. But as someone who has converted many a lip-gloss toting friend into a fellow lipstick-obsessed diva, this particular lipstick is always the starter; the training wheels. If you’ve been thinking about wading into the wonderful world of lipsticks, I wholeheartedly suggest this one. It won’t be long before you’re hitting the hard stuff right along with me. Pucker up!
